Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst for Grants Administration and Compliance is a key member of the Controller’s Office and serves as the financial liaison between the Controller’s Office and the grants administration team at the College. The Senior Financial Analyst demonstrates knowledge of the Federal Uniform Guidance Act in order to provide financial oversight to faculty and academic administrators at all stages of the grant process. The position is highly visible and dynamic requiring excellent communication and time management skills. Applicants should have the demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment. The Senior Financial Analyst also maintains grant accounting in the general ledger, processes federal drawdowns, identifies internal control issues and works closely with external auditors on the audit of federal expenses under Uniform Guidance.

Education/Skills Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in accounting or finance. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, customer service and interpersonal skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Attention to detail is a must. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) is necessary.

Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents

A minimum of 3 years’ accounting experience is required; public accounting or commensurate experience preferred. Experience with grants management and/or work in a non-profit setting is highly desirable.

Standard Work Days and Hours

8:30 am to 5:00 pm or as scheduled with supervisor. This is a salaried position requiring the time commitment necessary to satisfactorily complete job requirements.
