The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists the clinical nurse in carrying out direct and indirect patient care activities according to the defined plan of care. Within the scope of practice, the CNA performs selected nursing care activities as assigned by and under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, according to established policies, procedures, and standards of the Division of Patient Care Services. The incumbent performs duties and tasks in accordance with performance standards established for the job. The incumbent is responsible for participation in and completion of all patient safety initiatives appropriate to the position. In addition, the incumbent conducts all job responsibilities according to the and Values of Mercy Hospital.
- Graduate of an approved Maine State Board of Nursing CNA program.
Current registration on the Maine Registry of Certified Nursing Assistants.
Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required.
