This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Operates in a safe and effective manner in accordance to all company policies and procedures. To pick and scan product to outbound loads and to put away and organize a subzero freezer, cooler and dry goods area. Organize and replenish products as needed in the warehouse. Maintain a clean environment as per USDA regulations. Stack, configure, and load products that are bound for shipment to our customers. Physically handle cases to load trailers. Operates powered pallet jack, forklift and or reach truck. Inspects PIT equipment daily, charges batteries, maintains battery water level, and changes batteries as necessary. Clean dock, dry goods and freezer areas as needed to 5S principles. Perform cycle counts as needed. Be familiar with company policies, procedures, Total Quality Control (TQC) parameters, HACCP and GMP s. Perform all duties in accordance with company policy and established procedures. In the event of absence, the next level down the organizational chart covers the next level up. Team Member has an individual responsibility to report all possible deficiencies that could compromise food safety. Insure paperwork is done correctly and consistently allowing products to be traced. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Shipping and Receiving job or 3 years of experience using a powered industrial truck (PIT) such as a pallet jack, forklift or reach truck. Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends.
