Eastern Maine Healthcare System Quality Assurance RN-office location flexible within Maine in South Portland, Maine

VNA Home Health Hospice has a great position for a quality assurance RN wanting to make a positive difference in someone's life! This position has a flexible location either in Presque Isle, Houlton, Bangor, Ellsworth, Waterville or South Portland.

You would be responsible for analyzing clinical documentation in order to ensure accuracy with OASIS and other standardized assessment points, compliance with agency established standard of care clinical orders and State and federal regulations. In collaboration with staffs of Performance Improvement, Clinical Nurse Education and Clinical Managers, you would be responsible for identifying areas needing improvement at the staff and agency level with regard to Outcome and regulatory compliance This role also involves providing direct client care as needed. Utilizing the latest information technologies and telecommunication systems, VNA provides you with a variety of experiences, including playing an integral role in collaborating with other members of the client care team.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing Certification (or willing to obtain within six months of hire) as an OASIS Specialist-Clinical by the OASIS Certificate and Competency Board Two years nursing experience, one of which is in home health care Current ME license to practice as a registered professional nurse Current BLS for Healthcare Providers Computer competency and evidence of effective communication skills, using verbal, written and telephonic means; ability to make decisions regarding priority of work, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to understand specific instructions Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and VNA required auto liability insurance. Ability to travel in assigned service area.
