MaineGeneral HomeCare and Hospice is currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a per diem position based out of our Waterville, Maine office. As a Home Health Visit Nurse you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides skilled nursing to clients.

• Provides nursing care that utilizes and meets established parameters for quality and patient and family satisfaction. • Performs a comprehensive patient assessment to identify problems and improve clinical outcomes. • Provides evidence based techniques such as motivational interviewing and teach-back that encourage self-management support for patients with chronic diseases as well as improved patient outcomes. • Together with patient/family, physician, and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, establishes goals and creates an individualized plan of care


• Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain same in a timely fashion • At least 1 year of acute med/surg or equivalent nursing experience, required • Prior/recent home care experience strongly preferred • Valid driver’s license required • Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively • Proven and demonstrated critical thinking skills
